Never heard of it! Thanks!
Looking at this picture (https://goo.gl/maps/DbLyiz72WSUK8CSe7), there is at least a bit of a step to the porch area and, since other pictures show tatami mats, there is very likely a genkan step inside.
They are closed now, but can call tomorrow.
If they are accessible, getting there will mean a bus ride by the looks of it… but lets figure out if you can get in first!

OK, just found this Japanese report:
So, they could only get into the genkan / foyer area (where you see the steps into the tatami room). They stated that normally people eat in that room, but they ate at the table outside.
So, if you cannot transfer from your wheelchair, it looks as though you won’t get very far…
They said they came by bus and didn’t mention it wasn’t accessible, so I think it is fair to say it is.

Aww that’s a shame. Then again, I still have a lot to research because we won’t go until after the Tokyo paralympics

I do have one question. A friend of mine (also a wheelchair user) stayed in a Tokyo hotel called Sunrise, it’s apparently a national subsidized hotel? I found this one (https://www.normanet.ne.jp/~ww100006/) but I’m not sure if it’s the same. Do you have any experience with that hotel?

Hmm, had never heard of it.
Perhaps your friend can share about it (in a new thread)?

I’ll try and invite him to the forum

That would be fantastic – the more the merrier and the more we can share information!
